• En finir avec les inégalités extrêmes

  Cette semaine se tient à Davos le Forum économique mondial où sont attendues plus de 2 500 personnes, dont une quarantaine de chefs d’état et de gouvernement ; ainsi que des décideurs politiques et économiques parmi les plus influents au monde.
  Ce n’est donc pas un hasard si Oxfam publie cette semaine un nouveau rapport intitulé « En finir avec les inégalités extrêmes », et que la directrice générale d’Oxfam international, Winnie Byanyima, se rend à Davos pour rencontrer certains des intervenants.

  Dans ce rapport, Oxfam souligne l’augmentation, depuis le début de la crise économique, des inégalités économiques au profit des personnes les plus riches : aujourd’hui, les 85 plus grandes fortunes au monde possèdent autant que la moitié la moins riche de la population mondiale. D’un côté, les profits de très grandesentreprises, les salaires d’une poignée de dirigeants et les transactions boursières battent chaque jour de nouveaux records, et ne montrent aucun signe de ralentissement, tandis que de l’autre, le chômage et la précarité augmentent…
